Faruzan is a new 4-star character featured in the first half of banners in patch 3.3 . Once patch 3.4 arrives, Faruzan will be accessible on all banners.
- Element:Anemo
- Weapon:Bow
- Rarity: 4-star
Faruzan is a support unit designed to enhance the damage of other Anemo units. It is no coincidence that the 5-star character on her very first banner is Wanderer, an Anemo hypercarry unit.
What makes her strong for Anemo characters is an extremely rare debuff she possesses: the ability to reduce Anemo resistance. Nearly every team with a Pyro, Cryo, Electro, or Hydro character benefits from an Anemo support character due to their ability to use the 4pc Viridescent Venerer artifact set, which reduces enemy resistance to Swirled elements by 40%. The more diverse the buffs and debuffs being employed, the better, as many buffs and debuffs suffer from diminishing returns after a certain point. That said, there is no similar debuff for Anemo characters until Faruzan came along... unless you have C4 Jean, however it's unwise to assume the average player has multiple constellations on 5-star characters.
Not only does Faruzan provide Anemo resistance-shred, but she also provides and Anemo damage boost, some mild enemy-grouping, and with constellations, CRIT DMG and additional energy generation for Anemo characters.
Her achilles heel, however, is that nearly all of these buffs are attached to her Burst, and Faruzan has mediocre energy generation without constellations. This means Bursting off cooldown will be extremely difficult without an incredible amount of Energy Recharge; an Energy Recharge weapon and timepiece artifact are both absolutely mandatory for her performance, as well as good Energy Recharge substats on her other artifacts.
Faruzan Energy Recharge Requirements
I'll rip the ban-aid off right away; Faruzan needs at least 220% Energy Recharge with a Favonius weapon, and usually more than this without. Energy needs can be as high as 280%, especially if you're trying to "funnel" energy particles into your big-damage Anemo DPS characters so they can Burst more frequently. As such, you will typically need to sacrifice nearly all of her offensive potential individually in order for the most important part of her kit to be used to full effect.
Favonius Warbow, a free 4-star weapon given out for completing the Mondstat story, is almost required in order to control her hunger for energy. The average player simply cannot easily meet these requirements otherwise.
It is also heavily recommended not to neglect her Burst, as her Burst is head-and-shoulders above the rest of her kit.

Faruzan Talent Discussion
=-
Normal Attack - Parthian Shot
Faruzan's Normal Attacks are weak, even for a 4-star character, and it is not recommended to use Normal Attacks at all with Faruzan. Instead, focus only on her Skill and Burst.
Elemental Skill - Wind Realm of Nasamjnin
Any damage from Aimed Shots will come from Faruzan's Skill. After tapping her Skill button, you can use an enhanced Aimed Shot that pulls enemies together with air currents.
Please note that using her Aimed Shot is important for generating energy particles. Levelling this talent isn't quite important.
Elemental Burst - The Wind's Secret Ways
This is the bread-and-butter of Faruzan's kit. A geometric shape travels in a triangular pattern, dealing damage, reducing enemy Anemo resistance by 30%, and increasing Anemo damage for your teammates.
This talent is the sole reason to even include Faruzan into a team at all. Do not neglect her Burst and level it as high as possible.
First Ascension Passive - Impetuous Flow
After using Faruzan's Skill, her Aimed Shot will fully charge must faster than before. The Anemo shot that pulls enemies in can now offer the same buffs and debuffs of her Burst, helping Faruzan keep her buffs and debuffs active as long as possible.

Fourth Ascension Passive - Lost Wisdom of the Seven Caverns
Teammates that benefit from Faruzan's buffs get a damage boost equal to 32% of Faruzan's Base ATK. Base ATK is different from the ATK stat you normally see on characters; it does not count ATK% effects, whether they be on weapons, artifacts, or outside buffs.
Base ATK = Natural ATK from Level + ATK number on Weapon
Keep in mind that meetnig her Energy Recharge requirement is far more important than having the highest Base ATK possible, so it won't be realistic to try and push this buff to its limit.
Constellation Analysis
Most of Faruzan's constellations are underwhelming until you hit C6, which is an unbelievable buff to your team's damage.
Constellation Name | Abbreviated In-Game Description | Notes |
---|---|---|
C1. Truth by Any Means | Faruzan can unleash two special Aimed Shots after using her Skill instead of one. | Doesn't generate extra energy. Not worth aiming for. |
C2. Overzealous Intellect | Every instance of Faruzan's buffs/debuffs from her Burst is extended by 6 seconds. | Faruzan has enough uptime on her buffs and debuffs anyways, so this is not necessary, but it's not totally useless. |
C3. Spirit-Orchard Stroll | Increase Skill talent level by 3. | Doesn't matter unless you have C6. |
C4. Divine Comprehension | Special Aimed Shots from Faruzan's Skill generate extra energy based on number of enemies hit. | Not terrible, but much better with C6. |
C5. Wonderland of Rumination | Increases Burst talent level by 3. | Improves buffs on the most important part of her kit. |
C6. The Wondrous Path of Truth | Adds 40% CRIT DMG to allies buffed by Faruzan's Burst, while also improving energy generation. | Difficult to exaggerate how insanely powerful this is. This turns Faruzan from an OK support into a fantastic one. C6 Faruzan and C5 Faruzan may as well be totally different characters. |
Faruzan Builds and Gear
There'sreally only one way to play Faruzan: as a support that also deals a modest amount of damage off-field. Your stats will focus almost entirely on Energy Recharge, only focusing on CRIT stats and Anemo DMG% once those needs are satisfied.
Weapon Rankings
The best weapons for Faruzan are Energy Recharge weapons. It is not advised to use any non-Energy Recharge weapons unless your Faruzan has C6.
Weapon Name | In-Game Details | Notes |
1. Favonius Warbow | CRIT Hits have a60%-100%chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every12s-6s. | Freely obtainable for playing the story, and all Favonius weapons are exceptionally strong on most characters. In Faruzan's case, it is almost a necessity. When equipping this weapon, make sure to have at least 30% CRIT Rate to ensure consistent passive triggers. |
2. Elegy for the End | Increases Elemental Mastery by60. When the Elemental Skills or Elemental Bursts of the character wielding this weapon hit opponents, that character gains a Sigil of Remembrance. This effect can be triggered once every 0.2s and can be triggered even if said character is not on the field. When you possess 4 Sigils of Remembrance, all of them will be consumed and all nearby party members will obtain the "Millennial Movement: Farewell Song" effect for 12s. "Millennial Movement: Farewell Song" increases Elemental Mastery by100and increases ATK by20%. Once this effect is triggered, you will not gain Sigils of Remembrance for 20s. Of the many effects of the "Millennial Movement," buffs of the same type will not stack. | Great for teams focusing on Elemental reactions, but when your Anemo DPS cares more about their raw damage than reaction multipliers, this usefulness falls off. |
3. End of the Line | Triggers the Flowrider effect after using an Elemental Skill, dealing160%ATK as AoE DMG upon hitting an opponent with an attack. Flowrider will be removed after 15s or after causing 3 instances of AoE DMG. Only 1 instance of AoE DMG can be caused every 2s in this way. Flowrider can be triggered once every 12s. | Freely obtainable... as long as you like to fish. Mainly used for the high amount of Energy Recharge. |
4. Other Energy Recharge Weapons | Use these just for the Energy Recharge if nothing else. | If your ER needs are already met, the non-ER weapon used almostdoesn't matter. Just pick the highest Base ATK in that case. |

Artifact Rankings
Artifact choices will large depend on team needs, so it's hard to rank these as any better than other options. However, three main choices exist; one of which is even a 4-star set you can farm for even from near the beginning of the game!
Weapon Name | Abbreviated In-Game Details | Notes |
1. 4pc Viridescent Venerer | 2-Pieces:Anemo DMG Bonus +15% .4-Pieces:Increases Swirl DMG by 60%. Decreases opponent's Elemental RES to the element infused in the Swirl by 40% for 10s. | The default Anemo support option. Highly recommended to use alongside a Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo off-field DPS. |
2. 4pc Noblesse Oblige | 2-Pieces:Elemental Burst DMG +20% .4-Pieces:Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack. | The default support option regardless of a character's element. Almost every character cares about ATK% at least a little bit. .However, due to its popularity and the fact the effect does not stack, a party member may already have this equipped already. In which case, it's not wise to give this to Faruzan. |
3. 4pc The Exile | 2-Pieces:Energy Recharge +20% .4-Pieces:Using an Elemental Burst regenerates 2 Energy for all party members (excluding the wearer) every 2s for 6s. This effect cannot stack. | Unfortunately, this set is only available up to 4-star sets. However, since Faruzan doesn't care about the damage stats she gets from artifacts, this is not as much of an issue. Think of this artifact set as equipping a second Favonius Warbow if you really need it. |
4. 4pc Emblem of Severed Fate | 2-Pieces:Energy Recharge +20% .4-Pieces:Increases Elemental Burst DMG by 25% of Energy Recharge. A maximum of 75% bonus DMG can be obtained in this way. | Might be tempting due to offering Energy Recharge and also being a 5-star artifact set, but the team bonus from the Exile is genuinely more useful on Faruzan than this set's offensive buff, since Faruzan isn't dealing much damage on her own. |
Best Faruzan Teams
Building a team with Faruzan is quite easy. Simply pair her with a strong Anemo on-field DPS, then the rest of the team members should focus on making that DPS stronger. For more details on their teams, check the guides for the following Anemo DPS's
Anemo DPS | Details |
Wanderer | The best single-target on-field Anemo DPS. .1. Benefits from all of Faruzan's buffs. 2. C6 Faruzan significantly helps Wanderer's high energy needs. 3. Faruzan's minor grouping helps Wanderer's Normal Attacks to hit multiple enemies in mobs. |
Xiao | The best area-of-effect on-field Anemo DPS . 1. Benefits from all of Faruzan's buffs. 2. Was already respectable as a DPS long before Faruzan; now he finally has that last missing piece to push him over-the-top. 3. Probably as strong as Wanderer, but simply best in different scenarios. |
Shikanoin Heizou | The 4-star on-field Anemo DPS .1. Benefits from all of Faruzan's buffs. 2. Grouping helps his One Punch Man-style Skill to decimate enemies. 3. Is a very cool kickboxer. |
